Accommodations
This small family-owned and operated
resort offers 17 lovely rooms and 16 spacious,
luxuriously appointed Villas. Every villa comes with
a fully equipped kitchen including: microwave, large
refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, toaster, full
place settings and utensils, and a complete set of
pots and pans. The Villas have a private bedroom,
living room, dining room and balcony.
All are fully-furnished in a rich
tropical motif with hand-crafted furniture made from
local exotic hardwoods. There are one, two and three
bedroom Villas which sleep from 4 to 9 people.
All Villas and most rooms are
air-conditioned and have spectacular views of the
Blue Pacific watching the waves majestically rolling
onto the white sands of Tamarindo Beach.
All rooms have Color TV's and VCR's
and also the resort maintains their own on-site
video rental store complete with over 1,000 classic
and recent release movies to choose from.

Tamarindo, once a
"secret spot" among the surfing elite was featured in
the movie "Endless Summer II". It is blessed by
predominant off-shore winds and frequent swells.

There are six great surf breaks directly out your
front dooor or within a short walk.
You are also within a
short drive of other famous sufbreaks: Avellanas , Playa
Grande, Little Hawaii, Playa Negra , Langosta.) the
resort provides its own surf charters to Witch's Rock,
and Ollie's Point.
As a plus and due to
the fact that both the owner and the mangager are avid
surfer’s, the Resort features 10 foot tall closet for
long board storage !
Sports
Fishing
The waters just off
Tamarindo are renowned for their world-class
sportfishing. year-round , featuring plentiful Sailfish,
Wahoo, Dorado, Tuna and Marlin.
The resort owns a 23
foot MAKO for sport fishing enthusiasts, but also the
personnel of Tamarindo Vista Villas will happily assist
you charter a small boat for a few hours or a fully
equipped fishing yacht for a multi-day fishing adventure
in the Pacific.
Diving / Snorkeling & Dolphin Swim
There is excellent
scuba-diving in the waters just off Tamarindo. The
resort can arrange for you to go on a diving Safari
where you will see the underwater wonderland of Costa
Rica’s Pacific Coast. There is an incredible array of
marine life of all varities and colors awaiting you off
of the nearby reefs and islands.
For the truly
adventurous, the resort will take you out on the ocean
waters off of Tamarindo to search for and swim with
Dolphins in the wild. This is truly the experience of a
lifetime !
Golf
There are now two 18
Hole Championship Golf Courses just a short drive from
Vista Villas. Our staff will happily arrange a golf tour
for one or as many days as you like. For your
convenience the resort provides a selection of clubs for
rent.
Horseback Riding
The resort has its own horses
that you can rent to ride off into the spectacular
sunset, or just wonder slowly through the deserted
white-sand Tamarindo beach, while the breeze and
surf hypnotizes you.
Jungle Safari
A guided tour horseback ride through
the lush Tropical Jungle where you can see the wild
Howler Monkeys, which once you have heard their
call, it is a sound you will never forget. Also you
can see flocks of Amazon Parrots, and many more. !
Giant Leatherback Turtles
Tamarindo Bay is one of the foremost
nesting grounds for the Giant Leatherback Turtle.
These gentle giants come onshore to lay their eggs
from November through March every year and have been
doing so in essentially the same place for the last
two million years. A "must see" and one of the truly
remarkable spectacles of Nature.
Tamarindo Estuary
The Vista Villa staff will assist you
in chartering a small boat to tour the Tamarindo
Estuary wildlife preserve, where you will appreciate
untouched primary mangrove eco-system and see a
variety of tropical birds, monkeys, cayman and
crocodiles.
