The
Hotel Bougainvillea is located in Santo Domingo de
Heredia, a small town about 10 minutes north of San

The Hotel
Bougainvillea country living with its crisp air,
refreshing breeze and panoramic views, seem worlds
away from city life, yet it is less than five miles
from downtown via a free hourly shuttle bus.
Surrounded by coffee
plantations and citrus orchards, the lush gardens
provide an enticing setting for jogging through
winding trails, tennis, or relaxation by the
swimming pool .
Accommodations
Each of the 83 rooms
has two full size beds, cable TV (more than 45
channels), fan (temperatures are very mild, do not
exceed 80º Fahrenheit and there is very good
ventilation), tub and shower, telephone, separate
seating area and a balcony, from where you can
display a marvelous view of the mountains on one
side and the San Jose skyline on the other. There
are also five Junior Suites which are much larger
and have a small refrigerator and six rooms for
disabled people. The furniture is especially made of
Costa Rican hardwood.
Ambiance

for the Hotel Bougainvillea to adorn the
environment.

ceilings, wood paneling and a fireplace give the
hotel bar the intimate feeling of a Country Inn. The
gourmet restaurant features international cuisine
served elegantly on fine linen, imported bone China,
crystal stemware and fresh flowers on every table.
